he told me that he chartered flight in from minnesota and traffic was hurting something rushing in to nyc. i believe him cause it took me at least a half hour to get there on westide highway from e lady.

you will never know the rush of adrenaline one gets when he plays his hero his work (e circus) and he praises you for good work.

although i was a little scared when he said "i want to be there when you play this for the mca execs"---guess he had flashbacks of around the world in a day's listening for the warner execs.

but it wasn't an ego thing. traffic. live cd was there for industry distributers to hear what they are about to sell.

I do belive NPGMC members are to buy this set (they will have first crack at it). I know theese parties are industry type things but isn't Mr.P sort of against the industry and reliant on the die hards to buy his albums? Concerts are a little different - given how quickly the larger venues sold out in Europe. I just think a NPGMC release party would have been cool, that's all. Hey let the American Idols enjoy the night! FTW!

I have no problem only my NPGMC reservations for ONA Rotterdam, Hamburg and Antwerp and plane ticket to Amsterdam from Toronto,

As far as an NPGMC listening party, I suppose that would be alright. But people would complain about where it was held, how all members couldn't get to it, couldn't afford to go, blah blah blah. Plus, my understand of listening parties is to drum up buzz for your album. Buzz = press, and what draws press? Celebrities, not fans. Perfectly understandable for him to have a party & invite industry types - we're gonna buy the album ANYWAY, so we're already sold.

Anyway, that's my 2 cents...

True enough! I hear ya. I gues ass members we get a pretty good deal - soundcheck access, cd's, downloads etc...I am pretty content. A release party in NYC forall the members with concert would be pretty cool (pipe dream). I guess that's what the Celebration is in a way.
