Also I'm looking forward to the rest of the year, there are so many fun things coming up and I feel very lucky to be so 'in demand'. First the tour with Prince, featuring Maceo and Eric Leeds, that's going to be very exciting, then Da Univerzal Playaz tour, with Dave and Jimmy Cliff and all their friends. Last week I was in London and I got a call to come and play on Jimmy Cliff's CD release party. It was a great gig and with lots of celebrities attending (Bill Wymann of the Stones, Bob Geldof etc.) it was a good way for me to get acquainted with the new Marquee in London. A new venture by Dave, Tony Quinn, his loyal assistant / tourmanager etc. for so many years and another guy who's name I've forgotten, sorry. Years ago Funky Stuff and me played our first ever British gig there and although the venue has since moved three times, it is still a legendary place and my guess is if we do go to London to play next year, it could very well be the Marquee. Then when I'm done with Dave's tour, I'll be doing some more gigs with Van Morrison and to conclude the year Hans and I will play several Blue Note gigs in Japan, about a two-week tour. Phew, I just hope I'm going to make it. Between now and Christmas I have seven off-days to spend at home and my guess is even then I'll be working, with the release of the Dulfer/Dulfer CD coming up. I'm not complaining though, I think it's amazing that there is so much work for me at the moment and I'm enjoying it while I can.

It's gonna be a beautiful October in Europe!!

I'm sure maceo is a legendary sax player but i'd far rather have eric leed for that whole "SOTT's" vibe! Going to london 5th and dublin 10th shows so have to make do with maceo! Can't frickin wait!
