interview. The program showed clips of the Arista Rave promo video and
played clips of the song "Rave". In the interview, he mentioned that he
had a lot of fun recording with the name Prince so he thought he'd get back
to that. He also discussed his re-recording of all the old Warner albums
and how people would have a choice regarding who they wanted to support,
the NPG album or the Warner copy. He said that this New Year's Eve would
be the last time he performs the song 1999 (and the host responded with a
similar reaction to mine, "Yeah, sure it is..."). They also briefly
discussed his marriage annulment to Mayte and referred to her as his "love
partner". They said that although the marriage was annulled due to The
Artist's disdain for contracts, the two were closer than ever.
