Printable I am seriously doubting he will come to australia, - with the cost of transporting the band and all the equipment.. he would be stuggling to break even...
so far the cheapest ONA tickets have been about A$90 the most expensive were A$240. so considering he has to pay for shipping everything and the band - you think HE'S gonnna pay that out of his own pocket ? yeah friggin right... YOU will pay that ! IF he does your you can expect tickets to be at least A$100 yet $150 seems more realistic to what he's been charging everywhere else - are you willing to pay that ? plus the $200 for your NPGMC membership ... are you seriously gonna pay over $300 ? for a concert or two ?. | |

i am sorry to correct you, but prince also played japan in 1992. in fact he started the "diamonds & pearls" tour there. then came the shows around the time of the "gold experience" album had been released. | |

--- Hell Yeah!!! Ok that's One down... Not really a sellout show is it? Well the point is... it won't be $300 for a concert or two... I'm already a member have been for over a year and a half... I wouldn't just be joining to go see a concert or two... So $150 more or less is reasonable to me... I've paid more for other concerts... Also... I have never seen Prince live... if you were me... wouldn't you be willing to pay that price?! C'mon Funky... I know you would! And as for Budokan, he definitely is playing there... aaah... I hope he comes to Australia... hmmm.. maybe I should just go to Japan for goodness sakes... it's not THAT far away --»You're my favourite moment, you're my Saturday... | |

Not really a sellout show is it?[/quote] Also... I have never seen Prince live... if you were me... wouldn't you be willing to pay that price?! C'mon Funky... I know you would! OK on that point yes I would go ! But still not to more than two shows. They are exactly the same. I just don't see the point of seeing the same show with the same speeches and same boring monologues bigt after night , even if it IS prince ... Anyway my point about one person not being a sellout was this ... An he has just proved it for Japan He has booked large venues in Japan because he Knows Japanese have money to spend and that is why he is playing 10,000 capacity venues when compared to USA he was playine 3,000... As someone said in the chat --- JAPAN IS A CASH COW FOR HIM, he is almost guranteed to profit in Japan. he Has the fan base, same as in Europe, see Rotterdam and PAris shows sell out in 9 minutes with basically NO PROMOTION whatsoever , except the website... he NEEDS a sellout tour to guarantee any profit. With No promotion and no hype , he just isn't going to have a sellout tour in Australia especially with enormous ticket prices... People just Don't Care anymore about Prince I think... Sure you do , but are you gonna buy 8,000 tickets to fill the venue for him ?? to make it worth his while ? Or you know I could be wrong... I mean there doesn't seem to be many Japanese fans on the ORG but that doesn't mean they don't exist, but most JAPANESE fans I know don't know about the org, only NPGMC... Australia could be the same way , maybe there is a legion army of fans waiting to purchase all those tickets... Anyway I'm talking but im not saying anything so I'll just shutup now LOL | |

hehe nah billy boy ur making sense, just the vibe i get from people when u mention u like Prince & get u nuthin back,i mean only people who have cd's up2 Diamonds & Pearls.
I was talkin 2 sum1 in mIRC chat 2day & she sed "oh yeah i love Cream & Gett Off".i sed "have u got his new album?" & she sed "he has a new cd out? whats it called???" every1 i talk 2 about Prince doesnt even know he has a new album,or even that he has changed his name back from 2 Prince.I mean that is nearly 2 years behind most of the Australian public is.
I will contact Shock records 2moro & see what is goin on with them,& their promotion of Prince,or any info on gigs. ***************************************************************************************

Peace, John from Sydney. Nothing is confirmed or even looked at for Australia yet. The reason we are all talking about Australia is that he has locked in Japan for November, and it's the best sign that he might consider Australia as well. To do a small tour of Australia, he needs to do Japan first to make it worthwhile. | |
