New York, NY--The headlines following Prince's North American One Nite Alone tour convey fans' and critics' glowing reactions to his stripped-down, jazz-tinged show featuring both new material and classic Prince gems. Now fans everywhere (including those who may have missed the Spring 2002 tour) can experience the magic of a live Prince concert with the release his first live album- the 3-disc box-set, One Nite Alone…Live. While NPG Music Club members will be given the first opportunity to get it, the box-set will be nationally and internationally distributed this Fall.

Culled from live stage performances and after-shows along the tour, the box-set will offer an experience best summed up by Newsday's review of the NYC show: "The Rainbow Children is [Prince's] best in years, and Tuesday night he and his New Power Generation quintet turned in a set so full of impressively arranged new songs, cannily redone classics, and choice covers that the almost three hour concert felt concise." Accompanied by a 48-page book of live performance shots from the tour and liner notes rife with quotes from band members and fans, One Nite Alone…Live features:

I like the "released more new music bit" - 1 album of 9 songs. Hummm.

And what about the DVD?

That's what I'd like to know. I did receive the "One Nite Alone - solo piano and voice by Prince" CD, but that was it.

Well, if you accessed the memberz only retail section and ordered the books, guitars and gear you would have received them (unless they were sold out).

ZaZa

On an encouraging note they still say "at least 4 new Prince cds."
At least I find it encouraging.

My guesses:
Earliest will be tomorrow when fall begins.
My own guess will be that the CD will be available after the (European) tour.

Other thing is that it's still unclear if this 3CD will count for the NPGMC membership (i.e.: we get it for free) or that it won't and we can pay for this item (and the ridiculous shipping charges).
The latter option would promise more music so I'd favour it, for now.

Pills and thrills and daffodils will kill... If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry.
