More on TV-Show broadcast cancellation NO TV SHOW in Holland!! (and a small backstage report)
November 28 can be put in the database as a "bad mood day in Holland" The broadcasting of the Ivo Niehe TV Show recorded yesterday is canceled!
The quality of the sound was so bad he tore the tape apart! This is what told reporters last night, according to
'The Telegraaf', a dutch newspaper (http://krant.telegraaf.nl/krant/vandaag/teksten/bui.princewoest.html also http://www.telegraaf.nl/k...woest.html ) was in a bad mood almost all afternoon. My girlfriend who was already in the studio during soundcheck and rehearsals (all instruments where soundchecked including the horns, they did play most of the parts live) told me he was not looking that happy in the studio.
The director Egbert van Hees (who also did the Dortmund Lovesexy recordings, and toured with him as a video director on the NPG part II tour) was specially hired to tape this because of his experience with . himself was leading the soundcheck and gave directions to the soundpeople. After that he was just hanging around and played a little bit on his guitar.
Everyone except the tv-crew was told to leave the studio during the rehearsal of TGRES and Baby Knows. But my girlfriend stayed at the door watching him play Baby Knows. was not participating the camera-reheasal, he was just standing there playing the song and still looking to be in a bad mood.
During the recording of the actual show (we were told that there would be no interview) something special must have happened to him because the show was great, and after shouting and singing for about 5 minutes, and the audience (mostly dutch fans, and that helped!!) already leaving the studio, let the interview happen! Everybody was back in their seats within seconds, Larry Graham and gave a 15 minute funny interview.
Earlier told BMG/ARISTA that the 6 interviews scheduled for the next day were off, and could only take place the same night at his Hotel in Amsterdam.
And that is where the news of the tored up tape was told.. Well, I have seen it anyway | |
