Prince to play Birmingham Academy Oct 2nd?

There are 2 venues in Birmingham known as the Academy. It is more likely to be the NIA Academy (the other one is a bit of a student dive). Anyway, neither of them had any notion of a Prince concert on 2nd October. They said they'd had other calls this morning but simply had no information.

Alright this is getting ridiculous...

I've seen two posts telling us the supposed tour dates on the previous news item are wrong.

Cardiff CIA also confirmed by telephone that Prince is definetly not playing there.

Everyone take a chill pill and wait until the npgmc let's us know about tour dates. Hey, even tour dates from the npgmc aren't set in stone, so how can we believe the last post.

I think there indeed dates planned for October - just a delay in confirming them. The link to the Swedish newspaper is the second Scandinavian public mention of Prince playing in Stockholm & Oslo. It should come together soon.

"Set in stone"? According to Npgmc, "no concerts [are] scheduled at this time"!

You should know the NPGMC site by now - all that means is no concerts being announced today. With them 24 hrs can change the world.
