Oh my God I am too happy! What a day! I passed my final medicine exams and find out Prince might be coming to Birmingham. I so hope this is true! I have never seen him live and am sooo excited. Keep us posted on where to get tickets and stuff!!!

Remember you guys the american tours date were rumored at first too, but they all seem to come true. So don't write this off too quickly.

Also, on 16 oktober there is nothing scheduled in the concerthall Ahoy, which is the place Prince usually plays in Rotterdam! (see www.ahoy.nl)

Don't you think that the dates are mixed too much? In Germany on the 14th and again on the 27th?

Well a cursory look at London veniues for those dates suggests Wembley Arena, as all the others i can think of already have listings for that time.. Can he manage wembley arena two nights in a row? There are a ot of people who haven't seen him in a long time, but it's not exactly intimate

Don't worry roccolola, these dates are not true. He won't tour Europe without, at least, one concert in Spain.

Firstly 16 Euro dates?!!! No way is he gonna do that many. Not a hope in hell!

Secondly 2 shows in Manchester?!! Again absolutely not a chance! Why would he play two shows there and not, 2 in Birmingham for example.

I also don't really believe he'll play Finland, Sweden or Denmark. Sorry to all my friends over there but i just can't see it happening.

Cardiff?!! Again I doubt it very much. I hope he does play there for the sake of the nice Welsh fans I met at Xenophobia but I just don't think he will.


Imho I think if and when he comes over he'll just do a very limited number of shows; 2 or 3 in London, a couple in Paris, a few in germany and maybe one or two in Holland and that's all.

This is only my 2 cents but I still say it's a much more likely scenario than the "reliable source" who posted these rumoured dates.

Its funny that all those fake track listings also came from "a reliable source". Stuff like fake tour dates and track listings is time wasting, pointless, damaging, sad, and pathetic - IF it is blatently untrue, time will reveil this "source" or "toilet cleaner at Paisley Park" is mearly a figment of someone attention seeking head.

However this dates r true or fake, today the npgmc answered my e-mail concernin the european tour-dates. They said that nothing is confirmed so far.

Perhaps with short notice Prince can't play all the cities or all the venues we might think of eg maybe 2 Manchesters and the other dates are possible instead of one Wembley, I doubt he'll be doing Wembley considering what kind of venues he's been doing in the US (much much smaller) and would he fill Wembley nowadays?... I feel for the Italians and Spainish but wonder since the Mayte divorce whether Spain has the pull right now...

from my research a few promoters do seem to be holding variable dates, so I am not sure that these dates are fabrications but what was the source???

This time it's got to be more than rumours. I posted a link earlier to this topic, and I'll translate the following paragraph from Norwegian (quoted from the link) to you guys:

"Kristin Jacobsen hos Gunnar Eide Concerts bekrefter overfor Nettavisen at arrangørene har vært i kontakt med Princes turnémanagement, og at forhandlinger er i gang."

In English:

"Kristin Jacobsen at Gunnar Eide Concerts confirms that they have been in contact with Prince's tour management, and that negotiations are ongoing."

So we just have to cross our fingers this time! And for those of you who don't know where Oslo is - it is the capital of Norway, and Prince played here in 1993 at "Oslo Spektrum" for approx. 7-8000 people.
