I hope he includes Beautiful Strange on this live CD. I missed it when he was here, but heard that it was wonderful.

I'm not sure how a 2 CDs equals a "boxed set", but any release from Prince is a welcome one. If it's not part of the club membership, I'll certainly buy a copy.

As far as the speculation about Prince's finances go, he's made a lot of money over the years, so if he saved a bit and invested it, I'm sure he still has millions in the bank. Plus he makes millions of $$$s every time he tours, so whenever he is "low" on funds, he can just tour.

I am kind of happy that he doesn't sell that many records any longer, because instead of releasing an album that brings in lots of money, he's more motivated financially to tour more often. So we get to see him more this way and he still has the $$$ in his pocket. As he said in that MTV interview in '85, we support him in his habits and he supports us in ours.

The LIVE CD, as well as the XENOPHOBIA CD's,
and, hopefully, any DVD's that become available,
will all have to be purchased seperately.
Prince has to make his money too!!

NONE of us know...if we'll get them for free or if we'll have to buy them. I agree that we could very well have to pay for them (which I'd be fine with) but we don't know that for a fact either.

Ravena...the piano release was the first CD we got for this years membership to the NPGMC. It was called ONE NIGHT ALONE (kinda confusing...I know)

Anyone want to bet the cost of the ONA Live set that it won't be on shelves before 2003?

just a little thing, everybodys going on about live cds and whats next to come out after one nite alone, well 3 months after joining npg ive no cd of One Nite Alone, is anybody the same as me, When Prince can take $100 from me and not send anything in return, he does not need to sign to a major label, Ive kept him in purple soap for the last 3 months, NPGMC SORT YOUR FAMS OUT BEFORE U RELEASE ANY MORE STUFF OR THE OLD FAMS WONT EVEN BE AROUND!!!

my guess is that the "ona live" cd WILL be part of the 4 promissed in the membership. also, it is my thought that the bonus disc will be available only to members and will NOT be included with the commercial release.

i just hope that it is only counted as one, and not all of the remaining three we have coming. i would hate to see this mainly because it would cause major mayhem amongst the fams, not to mention hurting support for the future of npgmc...

Ok, eye really HOPE that this isnt for purchase.. eye wouldnt mind.. but why the heck would they send me an email sayin check my doorstep soon, when all eye have paid for is is the membership? thats just plain out wrong 2 say that.. and then we have 2 purchase it.. eye emailed them regarding/confirming if its for sale or with the membership..they have YET to email me back..

So we are getting overdubs. Any live record with overdubs, isn't a live recording anymore, even if those overdubs are minimal. Is it really so difficult to release a live recording WITHOUT overdubs. Here all those great bootlegs without overdubs. The only thing Prince has to do is to release it as soundboard quality.

Another point, why not a whole concert? From minute X to minute Y. Why a compilation? I've heard three One Nite Alone concert on bootleg and they were all good. I like the Hollywood version the most. The only minus is that pathetic screaming in the backgrouns and foreground from those Americans. That's the onlt thing Prince have to get rid off in the recording, but that must be an easy task.

This whole overdubs thing really gets peoples panties up in a bunch doesn't it?

Prince must listen to these live recordings and decide that certain aspects of the sound quality can be improved by overdubbing. If this is his idea on how the music should be finished off then that is fine by me. Minimal overdubs suggests that he does read the comments on this site and has decided to compromise.

Let's just wait and see how much tinkering he has done before we decide.

As a member I do feel the partly the same as most of the fans here. A unambiguous statement from the NPGMC would be greeted with open arms at this point.

Still, all the whining and moaning from the ultra, saddo fanboys and girls is getting too much. Just wait for the gooddamn live set or just buy it, whenever and however it becomes available! We'll get what was promised and then some, I'm sure.

If I were Prince I would probably forget the club - who needs it? I mean, it a club to support the man and his music, not a regular slanging match to see how much he can deliver us. Jeez.
