Okay...so he does'nt want 2 have his picture taken...that's his right. I don't like it,but hey. I thought he did'nt drink? That's why I could'nt bring my OWN water n 2 the Celebration cuz peeps were bringing n alcohol,WHATEVER!

And where do they come up with the Prince of Penny Pinching?. Prince is Not Cheap. He used to have ladies night at both his Minneapolis Glam Slam and Miami Glam Slam clubs where ladies drank Champagne for free all night long . And it was good Champagne. Prince was never cheap always a Big Spender and used to tip the waiters $100 and give out free concert tickets to them pro gratis. Leave him alone. He's Fine.

if i was that person just asking for something like that, i would of been offended. its the fans that make you in the first place. maybe a nicer no would have done it. you can still love him and agree that it was pretty rude and nothing new really coming from him. we are talking about a man that can hang with you one night and walk right pass by you the next. being a celebrity doesn't mean forgetting to be human. being nice is not so hard. why say all that"i get paid to have pictures taken" blah .sounds stuck up to me.
still a fan. just dont agree with his behavior towards folks. if it was any of you your feelings would of been hurt or you would of walked away going what???

But if an adult is stupid enough to ask for a picture with Prince, then they deserve such a comment in return. A few years ago on the "Jam Of The Year" Tour, Prince showed up at a popular club in Vancouver B.C. called Richard's on Richard's, and was seated in a closed off section in the upper balcony of the club. According to a close friend of mine, her friend was allowed to go up and say hi to Prince...When asked, "are you going to play for us tonight?" by this person, Prince replied, "You got $300,000???", apparently gloating from concert sales earlier that evening, which would have made sense considering ticket sales, merchandise etc. Coming from such a "spiritual" being, it sounded rather rude to me that he was bragging about money rather than just politely say, "I'm not into it tonight", or "I'm a little tired"...Needless to say, he didn't play, but in defense of Prince, he can do or say whatever the hell he wants, just like you or me. It just would not have been my answer. I am a musician, and understand that people see what we do as a privilege, rather than a job, so I make sure that I am polite and respectful of everyone, rather than sarcastic.

Cut me a break. It's a non issue. Prince doesn't pose for pics with fans, never has. And here's a newsflash ... Prince has a sarcastic sense of humor. Get. Over. It.

"I'm sorry I really don't like to have my picture taken; but how bout an autograph"

Not this BS response that makes it seem that he'll let you take his picture with him for a price.

The proper response would have never landed this in the papers. Prince's "sarcastic sense of humor" makes him out to look like a spoiled ass.

Merlot My kinda wine (smooth)! Very good for the blood, a few glasses a week is good for ya but drinking it through a straw its not suppose to be like this. Makes me want to go have a glass right at this very moment.

As for "getting over it"; there's nothing to get over about as it isn't my problem. I'm not going to be asking Prince for anything any time soon.

This money thing with prince is my main problem with him. this was a rather self absorbed and arrogant thing to say from a man who is GOD serving. WWJD? sounded like the "old prince". money should NOT b his focus. however, anyone who knows anything about the man knows how he is with pictures! NOT WIH HIM! That is rude, stupid and disrespectful on his private time. Learn to respect a person's space! If he had approached them differently and suggested a pic, then hey, cool!!
