Hi!
I was there The Time did NOT play RFK stadium (a soccer event for kids was going on in there) - instead they played in a temporary stage set-up on the GROUNDS outside of RFK. It was a short show - a bit over an hour in the middle of the afternoon. They sped thru their minor hits, but lingered over the audience pleasers such as "The Bird" and "Jungle Love" was the encore. No surprises. But an incredible energetic show esp. as it was 95+ degrees and close to 100% humidity - the crowd was packed in to the viewing small area surrounded by concrete bunkers. The Time came out in full, dark suits - I almost passed out from heat stroke just watching them & I'm used to it hot - can't imagine how they got thru it. The audience gave them MUCH love & had Morris grinning ear-to-ear more than a few times. Morris also made sure to thank Kathy Hughes of Radio One a few times for sponsoring the event. It was a poorly organized and publicized event - but it was FREE so no big complaints on my part - KJ | |
