NEW YORK--(ENTERTAINMENT WIRE)--Nov. 22, 1999--

First iNDE Production to Mark Official
Transition of Viewer's Choice to iN DEMAND

Ringing in the new year as well as celebrating the moment that
Viewer's Choice officially becomes iN DEMAND, the nation's leading
pay-per-view network has entered into an agreement with music industry
visionary, The Artist for an exclusive pay-per-view telecast to take
viewers into the new millennium. From pop, soul and rock to R&B and
out-and-out funk, there is only one revolutionary Artist who has
touched all these genres...and there is only one place he'll be to
greet the new Millennium. The musical icon who was partying like it's
1999 way back in 1982, one of the most visionary musicians of our era
The Artist will headline the ultimate New Year's Eve Party in an
exclusive pay-per-view concert scheduled to air on December 31, 1999,
10:00 p.m (ET).

Available for $19.99 from Viewer's Choice, which will become iN
DEMAND on January 1, 2000, The RAVE un2 The Year 2000 starring The
Artist will celebrate the joy of life as The Artist performs music
from his brand new critically acclaimed album Rave Un2 The Joy
Fantastic -released November 9th on NPG/Arista Records- as well as
selections from his vault of hits and classics. The only Millennium
Eve performance of the title track to his four-time Platinum album
1999, the ultimate millennium anthem, will highlight the concert. The
concert will originate from the Artist's Paisley Park studio in
Minneapolis where a band including legendary bass player Larry Graham
and members of the Family Stone will join The Artist in this
historical event. Special guests also set to perform are The Time and
Mavis Staples.

"With this exclusive pay-per-view event we're clearly
demonstrating the future direction of iN DEMAND," said Mindy Herman,
president and CEO, Viewer's Choice, LLC. "We are thrilled to be
celebrating the new millennium and our own transformation with one of
rock's most innovative artists. In addition to delivering the
quintessential party song to take us into the new century, the
Artist's newest release, which is resulting in hits airing up and down
the radio dial, is sure to create demand for the special. This is what
the promise of pay-per-view is all about."

"Although our first production is going to be a very tough act to
follow, the RAVE un2 The Year 2000 concert sets the tone for the type
of one-of-a-kind programming that will emanate from our iNDE
production unit," said Mark Sonnenberg, executive vice president of
entertainment.

The release of Rave UN2 The Joy Fantastic kicks off a new phase
in the history of this contemporary music legend who has forged
unprecedented pathways in creative expression and embraced new
technologies in order to make his music available to the world. Aside
from 15 multi-platinum albums, 10 gold singles, a gold video, numerous
Grammy Awards, American Music Awards, RIAA Diamond Awards, MTV Music
Awards, an Academy Award for the film Purple Rain, plus a World Music
Award, a Soul Train Heritage Award and an Essence award, The Artist
has influenced a whole generation of artist and musicians. His music
breaks down the artificial barriers erected by the industry itself and
always defies categorization. He blurs the lines between pop, rock,
soul gospel and funk and at the same time sings about topics form
rebirth and spirituality to sexuality and freedom.
