What songs would u like Prince & the NpG perform 2 @ the Celebration, & 4 the 1's that r not attending, would it not b nice if the live muzic b avail. on cd or dvd. So no-1 feels left out. Do U agree?

Anyway, it's making it sound like this CD release will be part of the club subscription, so we don't have to buy it separately I don't care either way, but I wonder if it is a multi-CD set if that will fulfill the 4CD terms of the club? It would save the club money (in production and shipping) to just send out one multi-CD set, rather than 3 more different albums. Once again, this may bother some people (and perhaps rightly so), but I don't mind because I've gotten my money's worth from the club membership during the last tour.

Of course this is all just speculation, so take it as that.

Eye think it will go as this..

4 cd's for 15 dollars... we've recieved one. we have 3 to go.. thats 60 dollars of our membership.

40 dollars left.. hmmm sounds like that would take care of a Box set right? it would seem like any other benefit to the membership just comes with the package.. we really havent gotten anything REALLY great besides the cd we have in our (members) hands... eye mean, he didnt give us those tickets to his concert free, he gave us an opportunity to get special seats/rehersal.. becuase we are simply members in his club.. and that should have been the plus/bonus to the membership

That is a standard response they are giving to people who ask about the box set. What a wonderful world it would be with specifics!

LOL...maybe they r giving us all the same lines as a reply because that's all they know right now about the box
But that's okay, just as long as this box will b on my doorstep asap. It's better that they do their best getting this box sent out asap, then answering the same questions over and over again with more care...it will come when it's ready...
And hopefully that will be very soon indeed, whatever the box may contain...Now gimme more info!!! :p

If this box set is supposed to fulfill the "4 CD's of NEW music" promise, I we be really pissed off !
But hopefully it won't. Where's Xenaphobia for example ?
I don't mind it being 1 of the 4 CD's, but not 3 of the 4 !!

Shorty it does sound like this is ready to be shipped. It'll probably take another month to get it out though!

Why is everyone comlpaining about the ins and outs of things? I'm well exzcited, and can't believe people would be so picky! What other artist has done anything NEAR like this for thier fams?

Is it fair of me to say that Prince fams are spoiled brats and unruly?

My other fav’ bands are Stone Temple Pilots, U2 and The Black Crowes. All three of these bands do different variants of the music they do. However they don’t stray to far from their roots.
As far as new albums are concerned your talking a maybe one new album every two years.
As far as tours are concerned, it can be an even longer wait.

Prince musically does everything and not just in a traditional sense, he has so many fusion’s. What are Prince’s musical roots? Is it quite simply music itself!
Albums, your almost guaranteed at least one a year. I don’t know of anyone who can match that. Some people would say quality rather than quantity, however you can wait the 2 or 3 years with another artists release and you could feel disappointed. I love the amount of material Prince releases, I wouldn’t change that for anything. On top of that Prince starts a groundbreaking music club where fams can download new songs. Fams who join would also receive CDs that you can’t buy in the shops. All this on top of the almost yearly album release. This is quite simply astounding!
Tours, are much the same as the albums, I don’t know of anyone who performs live as much as Prince. That fact that Prince does aftershows as well in amazing also. This proofs his love for simply performing live. I don’t know of any other major artists who does this. Prince also invites fams into his recording studios for live performances. Who else lets their fams get so close. It can get even better. If your a member of Prince’s NPG music club, you’ll get access to Prince in rehearsal before the actual show. And, yes more again. You’ll get free access to the aftershow if there’s one on. Unbelievable but TRUE.
This is what you get if your a Prince fam. A superstar, a genius, a living legend. A man who truly loves his music, the performing and of course, all this proofs he truly loves his fams.

The evidence on this web-sites would suggest there are a lot of brats being unruly, yes certainly. I’d hope to believe this applies to the minority though. However if your a Prince fam which I am, we’re definitely spoiled. It’s clear to see that, however it’s also easy to forget that.
Where would we be if Prince was gone tomorrow? It’s a perishing thought. So if there’s one thing I hope some people would learn from this thread or one word, it would have to be APPRECIATION.

another theory : maybe prince doesn't know at all what to do (3 discs, 7 discs, ONA tour, celebration...?) and he waits for the reaction of fans who will write from the NPG Music Club teaser... lol... so write to him and tell him what u want folks! )

A live cd from Prince would be great although I would like to receive my 'One Nite Alone' cd first which I still haven't received and believe me I have been patient and have and am still enjoying being a member but not receiving my cd is getting me down.
I also have not received any e-mails regarding this and believe me all my NPGMC profile is correct.
I say YES definitely to this live cd, about time we had good quality live versions of songs.

Last year Prince sent us a Free CD that wasn't promised to us and nobody ever seems to remember that. Maybe we will get something above the four CD's this year. He only promised us 4 CD's. He didn't say they had to be on a time table. He didn't say they had to be anything special. So what ever we get and when ever we get it is up to him. We will all charish what ever we get when ever we get it. Everybody should really just stop sweating the small stuff. Personally I think the man is listening and is actually busy trying to make his fans happy. Personally I hope he puts out another DVD. I have played mine to death and the DTS format kicks ass. Come on, a box set of live performances. I'm ready to sign up for another year.
