I am a bit confused :

how many cds are we going to receive ?
is it different from the Xenophobia set ?
Are we going to receive it free, why did they say emale us for more info ?
Are they going to release a DVD too ?

lets hope that all of this one nite and xeno. makes 2 retail outlets so everyone can listen 2 real music again. i could not believe some of my friends had no idea trc was in stores. they ran and got it and loved it. im not apart of the club because u cant send money orders or cash 2 join only credit cards. but maybe they could get somethings we dont as long as he still shares the gift god gave him with everyone not just thode that are fortunate enough 2 have credit cards. we planted the seed that bloosomed into this prince way back in the day. so dont 4 get us. hey gang what the hell is up with the forums around here anybody know? please school me because if this is the case. this sight will sink like the titanic.

I emailed NPGMC a couple days ago asking for some clarification regarding the 7 disc box set. I have not yet recieved a direct reply, but this flash movie looks promising. I wouldn't care if it was 3 CDs. Thats still alot of music.

At least this time around, many of us have seen and enjoyed the concert, so we have somewhat of an indication that this will be pretty good.

The way NPGMC has been dropping info about the set leads me to believe (for whatever reason) that this is not necessairly gonna be exclusive to members.

I'm under the impression we simply prepurchased these albums, and the rest of the public may have an opportunity to purchase them as well. This isn't fact, just speculation.

Prob the first time I've been enthusiastic about a P release in a long time.

At LAST!!! I love songs like Adore and The Ride because there is something magical about the Live vibe. The One Nite Alone concert was excellent! Prince pulled out all the stops and the choice of material was sweeet. I can't wait to buy the Live CD.

But Gubbins4ever is right. There is no way the concert warrants 7 CDs. That was just part of one of those mind-bending questions! Geez, let it drop. What I want to know is when he'll make more videos available. Some of those images were really nice. His production values just keep gettin' better. Gotta go pull the CD out. Anticipation . . .

I can't wait for the set - I'm sure it will be wonderful just like the Indianapolis EP that wet our appetitite.

Still, I'll get (notice I didn't say "buy") the bootleg of the Celebration and other ONA shows just because I want to hear the complete unadulterated versions. We all know that regardless of whether there are 7 CD's or 3 CD's, Prince and Femi will have chopped the shows to pieces and overdubbed like crazy. And you know we'll all be talking about "the awesome track from show x that he left off".

Plus, it will give me something to listen to for the next month or two before Prince gets this out to stores/mail.

...regardless of it's a 3CD set, or a 7CD set, it will be well worht the price of being a '02 NPGMC member!! That is fact, not fiction...

But, if you dig a little deeper, you would still have to ask the questions as to why in his posting he put the number "7" in terms of the box set?? The people who are inquiring about the amount of music being released didn't just pull this number out of their heads, right??

Now, we know Prince's track record regarding "alleged" releases in the past, but I don't think you can get the numbers 3 and 7 confused for each. He clearly teased about getting a "7 CD Box Set" in his "Dig If U will" posting on the site. Why not just say "Box Set" instead of referring to 7 CD's (possibly)??? I think there is something to that message. Like they say..."look deeper"!!!

Regardless, I for one...am excited!!!

I just knew that this period of quiet was merely the calm before the storm...

And what a storm!


But on a wiser note, the One Nite Alone Live! set has been confirmed and is ready for release. The status of the supposed 7CD Xenophobia boxset is less certain. After all, as Thirdstrike says, the purpose of the 'Dig If U Will' item may have not been an announcement as much as a discussion/thought point. IT HAS NOT BEEN CONFIRMED!!

...again, in the "Misinterpretation" post, he does say that Launch jumped the gun in regards to announcing a 3 CD set. In the post, he states that there was clearly bad information relayed by Launch, which could explain the quote stating "Xenophobia 7CD set at ur doorstep" and how that differs from the Launch announcement.

What I'm trying to say myself is that I think there will be a 7CD set made available to the NPGMC membership. I think it's pretty safe to say it will niot be entitled "Xenophobia", as that title is taken by another future release.

I guess on the future will tell...

Who came up with this 3CD business? I don't see anything in the NPGMC message about there being 3 CDs. Box set could mean anything. Granted, if i were betting i would say it will be 3. But it's still anybody's guess.
