The Artist's album debuts high

"Rave Un2 The Joy Fantastic," the new album from the
Artist, will debut at No. 18 in next week's Billboard magazine. The
album sold nearly 84,000 copies, making it the sixth-highest album
debut of the week on the Top 200 album chart. "Rave Un2 The Joy
Fantastic" also made a big impact on the Internet sales chart - the
album jumped from No. 44 to No. 5 in its second week of availability,
based on sales of over 1,100 copies. The first single from "Rave,"
"The Greatest Romance Ever Sold," is at No. 20 on the SoundScan
chart, having sold over 17,500 copies in the past week.
All the buzz surrounding this album has also had an effect on the
sales of his previous work. On SoundScan's Top Catalogue Albums
chart, sales of the Prince albums "The Hits 1," "The Hits 2" and
"Purple Rain" all showed an increase of at least 10% from theprevious week.
