Sheila E. in Goldmine

The current issue (July 12, 2002, vol. 28 no 14 issue 573) of Goldmine -- a magazine for record collectors, see also http://www.Goldminemag.com/ -- has a q & a with Sheila E(scovedo).

It's mostly about her current career but of course also about Prince, among others about the song "Who's Taking Care Of You" on her album, which is directed at Prince (though this wasn't supposed to get out), and about the use of the Edward Lear poem "The Table And The Chair" in "It's Gonna Be A Beautiful Night".

the song isn't negative. if this is about him...it suggests that she believes that love is missing in his life. talks about good times they shared, and it being great to see him for the first time in a while. kind of a song wishing him well. this song isn't that old. i wonder if this was before his supposed wife just after mayte, or relating to now as well.

Thanks for summing up the song. I know the song would certainly not be negative, but rather a very moving, touching, and beautiful song. I am going to buy her CD in a few days, but wanted to see if I could catch a glipmse of the lyrics beforehand.

I am in jail, in a cave, on Mars, and have no electicity and can't read, and my flatulence problem keeps the newspaper boy away. Hope that explains it to you, knucklehead! hahahaha.
