Susannah Melvoin appearance

Susannah is singing backing vocals on Roger Waters' "In The Flesh-Live" DVD that has come out. I havn't seen it, but know a man who has, and he says it's 'ok'.

i haven't seen the dvd, but the 2-cd set has been out for a while now.

and it's pretty beautiful stuff, too...though i'm one of those apparently few people who enjoy roger waters' solo stuff...the background singers, includng susannah, are amazing, epecially on waters' more recent stuff: it's a miracle, amused to death.

much MUCH better than that god-awful live version he did after the wall fell. UGH that was a stinker.

Susannah doesnt sing on Roger's solo albums aside from the "In The Flesh" live album. She was only on the 2nd leg of his last tour, and now his world tour as a 3rd backup singer. That being said I have heard a few shows off this tour and she sounds great. Reason she got the job I believe is because her husband, Doyle Brahmall II, was a guitar player on the tour and also the live album. Definitely Recommended! smile

Does anyone else agree that in '86 Prince was so heartbroken over the breakup with Susannah that he doesn't stay in touch with Wendy & Lisa as far as working with them again or inviting them to the Celebrations. Just a thought. It's a shame because they added so much to his music.
