Prince Written Tribute For Mavis Staples Late Father Pop Staples {{{Mavis Staples now with the Capital Entertainment.

To be honest, I don't know if the name "Jim Crow" was actually taken from a real live human being. But the name Jim Crow has come to symbolize the racist laws that were predominate in the Southeastern part of the United States. For example, laws that would not allow Blacks to eat in a public restaurant or vote - just to name two. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

truly beautiful and true words directly from the heart...i would love to hear Prince perform this song with Mavis...that would be wonderful!
I'm sure Pop is smiling from Heaven; who couldn't smile to such a beautiful song?
