I picked up my first ever Ani diFranco cd Tuesday
afternoon, the one with "provideNCe" on it ("to tHe
teeth"). ProvideNCe is 7 minutes, 18 seconds long.
does sing background vocals (mainly on the chorus). On
the flip side of the cd booklet, Ani gives credit where credit
is due in the liner notes -- "to - my favorite
fourth of july." ...



Maceo Parker also guested on "to tHe teeth" -- flute on
"soFt shoulDer," saxaphone on "Back Back BaCk" and
"sWing." Ani says to Maceo "(my hero) ... not a day goes by
i don't think of y'all and get all smiley."



After one listen to the entire "to tHE teeth" cd (and to
"provideNCe" twice) I can understand why digs her
musical talent. She is making a name for herself and
pouring out some good work. ...
