On BBC Radio 4 this morning they were discussing music to
be played in the Millenium Dome in London on New Years Eve.
Prince's 1999 was #5 on the list of hopeful songs....however
its unlikely to be choosen as the guy reviewing the list
thought it was repetitive and that he couldn't hear what
'Mr Prince' was singing (it was a very lighthearted comment, he
also dismissed Robbie Williams 'Millenium' has he'd never
even heard of him). DJ John Peel then commented on how male orientated
the list was (John Lennon, Beatles, Rolling Stones,
Pink Floyd, Queen) and that with the exception of Prince
that no black artists were included.
