The musical genius from Minneapolis has done it again, he has named his cat, Paisley, CEO of his company Paisley Park Enterprises. A spokesperson for Paisley Park said, "She is a great boss, she never yells and spends most of the day sleeping in her office. The only problem is she likes to scratch the drapes." Prince, best known for his semi-autobiographical movie "Purple Rain" has a recording complex named Paisley Park located in Chanhassen, MN. No reason was given for making the 7 year old tabby the head honcho but thats musicians for you. Prince is allright by our book, or magazine as the case may be.

Yup. He does have a cat. In The Dance Music Sex Romance book, the last pic of pages has the Paisley staff with cat in hand & even the cat's name, Paisley, is mentioned in pic.

I always take anything with a grain of salt until I see it myself, so until I go to the newsstand tonight in my muscle t-shirt & manly blue jeans, I will pick up a copy of Cat Fancy in front of about 5 girls n start flipping cooley to page 37.

Yes, it.s true. This has been mentioned several times in various articles where the author(s) have been given tours of PP.

Lots of people in business do this.
When you incorporate a company, you have to give names for key positions in your buisness. My wife named our cat CEO of her business. Just a formality. Not as wierd as it sounds.

When Paisley was being built, there was a cat on the lot and would just wander around while the bulding was being built. So, when groubndbreaking was done, Prince "adopted" the cat and named him Paisley.
I believe it went that Prince felt he had taken the cats home, so he gave him his.

Actually, if I remember how the story was told to me by the Studio Manager at the time, the STAFF decided to "adopt" the cat and name him Paisley.

That's the true story...

If you watch the Gangster Glam video you can see footage of Paisley groo groovin to the Gangster Glam.

You know come to think of it,My cat actually knows Paisley and they trade outtakes with each other.

She was pure white...and wondered in Paisley when it was being built, to keep warm etc... so Prince just continued to let her stay there.
