According to their schedule TRIO will be airing TRIO ON TOUR: PRINCE OF PAISLEY PARK. The content of this 1 hour special is unknown. TRIO is a popular arts television station. They show various concerts and other performing arts specials. Prince of Paisley Park will air:

TRIO is a great station, I saw a cool Terence Trent darby concert on it one morning.

But they floated little black boxes all over "Last Tango In Paris".

If I recall correclty "Prince of Paisley Park" is the title that was used for the BBC documentary done circa 1988. Whenever it would air on PBS that's the title they would use.

TRIO did air this special once before, and I happened to catch the last 10 minutes of it.

NuPwrSoul, you are right, it was a BBC special from 1988 or early '89. The snippet I saw contained some excellent footage from the LoveSexy tour and some after parties. The footage, if I remember right, was different than the standard LoveSexy show that's been so widely bootlegged.

This is definately worth watching and taping...

I would love to have a copy of this. I cant get direct TV and dont personally know anyone who could tape it for me. Does any have any info on how one might go about ordering a copy of it from either PBS or BBC or Trio. Or, if someone is willing to tape it I'd be willing to pay for it.

As for the contents,its got footage from the Lovesexy aftershows ,the Purple Rain preview concert from 1983,The New years benefit at Paisley Park 1987 with Miles Davis,the Special Olympics performance of Baby I'm A Star from 1991/2,the Nude tour,snippets from the promo videos for I wanna be your lover ,Sexuality,automatic ,when doves cry ,raspberry beret,alphabet street,thieves in the temple,partyman ,gett off ,cream,daddy pop (the only place ive ever seen any footage of the unreleased daddy pop promo) as well as rehearsal footage from 1988 (the ladder) and 1992,and some related artists videos like the family's screams of passion,ingrid chavez' elephant box,sheila E's sex symbol,theres lots of good good stuff in that special.

yeah they aired it not to long ago. its mostly peoples' commentary than him performing.

Is it on regular cable TV?

The end of show contains the live rehearsal footage of "The Ladder" in Los Angeles in '88. The same footage that Prince released on the NPGMC last year, but complete. Also contains footage from the :God is Alive" rehearsal w/ Mavis interview and Snippet from the Time Waits 4 No One video... Totally Cool...This came out just before the name change/Warner Battle and just as he signed a new 100 mil contract with Warner and they made him a Vice President..
