Update on Tevin Campbell's legal trouble Came across this at work on the AP, thought yall would be interested:
(Van Nuys, California-AP) -- A plea bargain for singer Tevin Campbell. The singer has pleaded no-contest to a charge of soliciting a lewd act. The plea was entered today in Van Nuys Municipal Court in California. Assistant L-A City Attorney Richard Schmidt says the singer was arrested in July on charges of soliciting a male undercover police officer. Campbell was also charged with possessing a small amount of marijuana. The drug charge was dropped as part of the plea agreement. Schmidt says the plea bargain puts Campbell on two years' summary probation and fines him one-thousand, 80 dollars. Campbell's hits include ``Round And Round,'' ``Can We Talk'' and ``Tell Me What You Want To Do.'' He released his latest self-titled album earlier this year. by Oscar Wells Gabriel II (Copyright 1999 by The Associated Press. All Rights Reserved.) | |
