Various information from Arista Here's some Info straight from Arista.
The london affair - the official timetable is as follows: [pre:0deadbeef0] 2:30 PM - guests arrive & have food/drinks 3:30 PM - Clive Davis Presentation begins 4:45 PM - Artist performance (approx.) [/pre:0deadbeef0] Initially the event was supposed to take place later in the evening but becasue of early start time, it will probably be impossible to do interviews prior to the event. (note: let's hope that means an aftershow is in the pipeline!!) [pre:0deadbeef0] Single - 74321-70664 2 1. radio edit 4:30 2. album version 5:29 3. radio edit feat. eve 4:30 4. adam & eve remix feat. eve 4:28 [/pre:0deadbeef0] radio edit w/eve is a combo of the begining of the remix and the body of the song [pre:0deadbeef0] Promo Remixes: First, "Neptunes remix" - BLACK cd (arpcd-3776) contains: 1. neptunes remix edit featuring q-tip 4:19 2. jason nevins remix edit 3:36 3. call out research hook :10 Then, a GREEN cd (arpcd-3775) 1. jason nevins remix edit 3:36 2. (original radio edit) 4:18 3. call out research hook 0:10 [/pre:0deadbeef0] The neptunes remix is club/hiphop, more hardcore than the adam & eve remix, mostly consists of q-tip's and another rapper's rhymes over a complicated loop with Prince's voclas interlacing in and out. It has chants like "I ain't a a thug tonight, I'ma stay home make love tonight" or something. The Jason Nevins remix is Pure Disco (leaning towards french house) with new instrumentations - pretty funky. Both remixes feature Prince's ORIGINAL vocal delivery, I guess prince had nothing to do with them unlike the A&E remix. The album - You probably have it by now. My early 0.02$ - It's very good, with some classics. Can't say if it tops Gold or "the symbol" yet, probably not, but it better than D&P IMHO. I MUST say though that I was totally wrong about the art. The cover photo may look shabby online BUT the whole pack rocks, looks real special and practically leaps out of the shelf to get you. People at Arista had more to say about the pack than about the music. My hat off to Parke, I was wrong to diss you so early. | |
