This rumor showed up in my Allstar daily news; interesting to say the least.



"Nothing is set in stone, but word has it from inside
sources that The Artist Formerly Known as Prince is
being heavily courted by Woodstock '99 organizers to
handle main guitar god duties in the planned tribute
to Jimi Hendrix. Organizers are planning the tribute
to close the three-day festival, much the same way
that Hendrix himself closed the original Woodstock in
1969. However, despite there being no better man for
the job than the Artist, he hasn't quite signed on the
dotted line, so keep your fingers crossed...."
