Fourth report on Paisley performance Blistering, fiery version of "Red House" (renamed Purple House?) was THE
highlight. Jaws were literally dropping everywhere and lips could be read exclaiming "Wow." when it was over as Prince, Larry, and Kirk joined the rest of the band for a set break. Incredible cover of "Every Day is a Winding Road" (PLEASE be on Rave) and the best version of GCS's "Free" (love the trombone) yet! And the hits were there too and they were GUITAR driven. Let's Go Crazy, She's Always in My Hair, U Got The Look and Kiss (which started as a dueling Bass contest with Larry.) I'll leave it to piepie for the better review and the hope that he was there and got in sooner than we did! I think you had to be a VIP to see the whole show last night. Prince was already playing when we got in as it was slllloooww-going with the (for some reason) extra-scrutiny, feel you up security. (And we were maybe 50th in line! Some probably missed the whole 1st set!) We came in as TGRES was wrapping up and Baby Knows was kicking in. This was around 2:30 AM! I have a bad feeling we missed a few songs but regardless, this was THE best Paisley performance I've been to. It was back in the Love4Oneanother room also. I'm guessing the soundstage area is full of TGRES sets right now? They were also filming last night and it now occurs to me that maybe the reason we were all left out in the cold (brrrrr!) for so long last night was THAT very reason. Coincidence that TGRES was just ending when we got in? Anyway.....Wow. I can't seem to sleep very good after these incredible experiences! Maybe tomorrow....
