The Soul Cages was an intensly personal and serious album
which broke the curse of Sting's writer's block.



"Its almost endemic or being a writer that you simply
cannot be on output all the time. But if you think you
should be creating all the time, then forget it. You can't
be, unless you are Prince (laughs). Us normal human beings
need to spend the fallow time, taking in experiences,
process them and then come out with something coherent.
