Saskatoon show cancelled

It's just been announced that the Saskatoon show has been cancelled because they only sold 1000 tickets. I am so grumpy right now...if I'd known, I would have gotten tickets to the one in Regina. It's out of the question to drive 8 hours to Winnipeg. Saskatoon is notorious for having shows cancelled because people just want to buy tickets at the door. I don't blame Prince for cancelling, but it's so annoying to know this is probably the last time he'll ever try to come here!
[Don't know where this was announced, so not sure if it's true or not... -Ben]

Yeah, I just pulled up to the dang Centennial to see the dang signs on the doors about the damn cancellation! I don't understand how REGINA would sell more tickets than Saskatoon...
The people at Centennial told me that it was cancelled due to "technical difficulties".
If it was bout the number of tickets sold, then WHY ON EARTH would they have maseo or whatever his name is on C95 this morning talking to Ramblin' Dave?
Terrible promoting! (Saskatchewan needs good promotions in order to have successful shows). I hope it was due to some personal sh*t, and that Prince just could not perform for a GOOD DANG REASON, cause I spent another 157 dollars on the dang membership just to get VIP access for my sis and I (it was a birthday gift for my baby sis). I'm am 110% disappionted and will never ever ever ever purchase a ticket for any concert ever again in Saskatoon.

(THIS IS ALSO A HINT AS TO HOW WACK S'TOON IS...I feel like going and running thru a field of wheat that's how much LACK of entertainment we have here! Actually, cause of the lack of rain [weather is all we have to talk about in Saskatoon] we can't even grow a decent crop no more!)

Blame Canada!. No wonder the Jets and Nordique had to move. No wonder the Canadian figure pair skaters had to cry and complain to win a friggin medal. Pitiful! We better watch out because these people are just waiting for the right time to invade the U.S.wink But Prince probably has a lame excuse for the cancellation. Remember San Diego and Los Angeles in '98. He gave no reason for cancelling both of these sold out shows. He probably woke up this morning and said" I can't believe I'm in friggin Saskatoon. Where inbreeding is incouraged and Celine Dion reigns Supreme!. Blame Canada!.

Hey now! All the shows so far have been SOLD OUT (not sure about Regina). It appears there are still some seats available for Winnipeg and Hamilton, but Toronto is also SOLD OUT!

Truth be told, the Canadian tour is simply too much of a stretch in some cases.I was very surprised at some of the cities picked. To fill a hall in Saskatoon, Prince would probably have needed to announce the concert two months ago.

Yikes! That isn't very nice. I'm from Saskatchewan, now living in Toronto. As soon as I learned that there would be shows in both Regina AND Saskatoon, I knew one of them would end up cancelled. There aren't enough fans of Prince's style of music there, plus people aren't accustomed to paying over $100 for a ticket.

That's all.

It was poor tour planning that has been corrected (at the expense of some disappointed Saskatoon people). Even if you were joking, there is a little too much bite in your remarks.

By the way, more than one "Nordique" moved, there is only one L in "canceling" and I encourage you to spell "incourage" correctly. Saskatoon has a wonderful university that probably offers English correspondence classes.

On this note, Haha! I think it was the ticket prices that killed the SASK concert more than anything else.

And on another... a Montreal paper a couple of months ago reserved an entire day's of op-ed for Celine Dion bashing. Talk about the pot calling the kettle black.

Now that I have had a day to cool off I am ready to speak more appropriately about the cancellation (OR NOT!)

I realize that I am a dumb ass for paying 157 dollars for an NPG membership.

I realize I am a dumb ass for even believing Prince would perform in Saskatoon considering the tour was a last minute thing.

I realize I am bitter that REGINA saw Prince and NOT Saskatoon...

I realize Prince may have a had a bad hair day and cancelled.

I realize that if he is going further east then why go to Stoon from Regina then back east again on his budget?

I am sadened by the fact that I have lived 21 years in Saskatchewan and that my first concert was a George Jones concert...and that Boyz II Men cancelled out on Stoon when I was like 14 and that all I've been too are underground hip hop shows where 15 year olds spill beer on my shoes and call a rapper from WINNIPEG "ACEYALONE".

I have grasped the fact that Michael Jackson will probably never tour again and because I live in buttfukk saskatchewan, I never had such a priveledge to see him perform.

I now know I will sell my Rainbow Children cd for the simple fact that I dont like the deep talking which sounds satanic almost throughout the cd, it ruins all of the music!

I am a lover gone hater in a matter of 24 hours...FIRE BUN A FASSY YUT!!!

PEEECCEEE OWT!
