RollingStone on Celebration

{{{http://www.rollingstone.c...?nid=16022 Jones, Musiq Celebrate With Prince
Annual birthday bash set for Paisley Park
Partying like it's 2002

Prince has lined up dates and performers for the annual celebration at his Paisley Park studio/compound in Minneapolis. The event, which usually coincides with Prince's birthday (June 7th), has been named Xenophobia, and will run from June 21st through the 27th.}}}
Lest one miss the barb in the festival's title, Prince, whose music, comments and actions have leaned much more towards social inclusion than xenophobia, will be donating partial proceeds from the event to his charity, Love4OneAnother.

Past bashes have featured a cross-section of music that appeals to Prince, and this year is no exception. Saxophonist Maceo Parker will kick off the proceedings on June 21st. The next evening, Prince collaborator and longtime friend Sheila E. will take the stage with the E/Train. The rest of the lineup is Bela Fleck and the Flecktones' bassist Victor Wooten, the 23rd; Norah Jones, the 24th; bluesman Bernard Allison, the 25th; Musiq, the 26th; and Rachelle Ferrell, the 27th. Prince will take the stage each night.

Weekly passes are currently on sale for NPG Music Club members for $250. The passes also allow fans to hear new music and attend daily discussions and workshops.
