Tribe of Millions to Perform June 7th, 2002 at Bunkers in Minneapolis

For those of you who don't know the Tribe, ask people from Minneapolis.

Hints:
1. The played at Paisley Park at one of Prince's love4oneanother shows.
2. Andre Cymone is the lead singers Father.
3. Prince digs them.
4. The perform Prince covers (re. Shes Always In My Hair) and Wendy And Lisa tunes.
5. There is only three of them but it sounds like 5!
6. Did I mention the lead singer is also a guitar wizard?
7. Did I mention the group can not only play but they have perfect vocal harmonies?

Well you will have to see it to believe it.
Prince has been notoriously known to show up at Bunkers and sit in with the house band instead of being where everyone would be expected him to be (Paisley Park).

I am sure it will be a night to remember. Regardless...

Is this also Jody Watley's child? Or did Andre have children with somebody else?

Yes, Malo is Andre's nephew. He's very talented.
Unfortunately, the Tribe plays about once every 4 months, and is the same show they've been playing for the past 5 years. I think Malo is a great singer, song writer and guitarist, but their live show is about as exciting as watching paint dry. They need something new...and desperately!
If it breaks when it bends, you better not put it in.

They have a CD. It is all orginals and one cover tune:

Like a Rolling Stone

The CD will be for sale at the show. Talk to the drummer.

Here is another CD project that Malo, the lead singer did recently. There is a real audio sample you can listen to. It's a nice song, kinda mellow, yet very nice. Although I must say the band is more rock/funk as Tribe of Millions.
