Sonicnet covers Uptown countersuit

[snipped from their site--URL not easily isolated, ALSO NOTE: this contains some of the same inaccuracies the
"Swedish interview with Uptown" item reports... there is nothing of consequence in this article to people already aware of the lawsuit. -Editor]

Fanzine Countersues The Artist

The fanzine Uptown, which The Artist Formerly Known As Prince sued in
February for the unauthorized use of his symbol name and other alleged
infractions, countersued in New York on Friday (April 9). "This case
represents a brazen attempt to curtail and chill legitimate public
commentary about [The Artist]," said Uptown's lawyers. Representatives for
The Artist could not be reached for comment. The suit seeks damages as well
as a declaration that the musician has no copyright or trademark claims to
the symbol that has served as his name since 1993.
