The man's release from 'slavery' hasn't resulted in anything close to a return to form, the formerly innovative artist now seemingly content to generate innocuous R&B that could be mistaken for the output of a thousand boy bands were it not for the distinctive voice. For a moment, just before the chorus, a spot of Abba-style keyboard flourish appears. And that, unfortunately, is about as interesting as it gets.
