NPGMC news about Prince recording new music

http://www.npgmusicclub.c...ynewz.html

{{{"New Grease!
Prince was in the the studio late Wednesday nite/early Thursday morning, then went 2 sleep 4 5 hours and hit the Park again Thursday evening - remaining 'til the following day. Midnite oil burnin' like this means there's new grease in the skillet!"}}}

Whew, we're still waiting for our NPGMC CDs and they're already teasing us with news about new music! But I'm curious what direction he's going in right now with such a kick-ass band.
Maybe the message also means that he recorded it alone?

i've been away from P.org for some time, so excuse this Q if it's been asked twice...

Did prince release any new music via the club or via overnight mail??? i recall hearing about a new cd that was being printed--but did it ever get shipped or uploaded for the npgmc members??

It's all well and good that there's new grease in the skillet. But whatever was already in the skillet must be burnt up by now.

We're gettin' hungry Prince. It's time to serve dinner!

Even tho this kind of news rarely materialises into anything, it nonetheless whets my appetite and gets me excited.

Oooh, that's sounding a bit too porn-alike there. Back to the books...

Yeah, the only positive thing to keep in mind is that when Prince is this driven to spend so much time in the studio, it's a pretty good indicator that he's been inspired deep within to put something down... and that's a good thing.

While no one can say for sure that it was left eye's death/funeral that inspired him, I do think "something" has inspired him - especially since he told his folks to post it on his website.

As far as being allowed in to an actual recording session, that would be a dream come true for me personally. But I have to think that Prince simply would not allow any "outsiders" to watch as he actually creates his art. That would be like a magician allowing people to see how they do their magic tricks. I mean, Prince has been known by his own band members to record his layered vocal tracks in total seclusion. Can't imagine that he would allow fans to gaze while he "creates". But of course, a few years ago, I couldn't have imagined Prince would let fans in to his soundcheck either... so who knows?

"BTW, he's Prince again".

Thanks to all the jackasses who felt they had to correct me. I WASN"T REALLY sure what his new name was, you dumbfucks...BTW, if i choose to call him P or prince or the Purple One or the Paisley One or any one of his numerous aliases, you probably know whom i'm referring to, so bite me.
Nice to know the Prince.org still has the market cornered on dipshit know-it-alls.

now i know why i left here for so long,

I have to agree with the above, staying away from the org has gotten easier and easier these days. On one side we have Prince telling us how to live our lives so as not to be "banished" from the "Kingdom - I can't tell you how much I truly resent that bullshit. I consider myself fairly religious and yet I had Prince to help fuck up my sexual values in my formative years. It took a long time to figure out it was all wrong... And now I'm not good enough for him! Imagine that!!

On the other hand so many of you seem to be mindless robots, obeying your master's every command. That was once me...

Wow, thats really surprising. How can we get so excited over that. We haved been cock teased for over half a year with these GREAT inspired new albums. The ever so anticipated Madrid 2 Chicago album with songs so inspired they were left off of Emancipation and New Power Soul. With songs like "Breathe" you can bet thats a throw away album. How about One Night Alone, recorded in december of 2000!!!! during the mixing of the Rainbow Children. Theres a tour named after this album and songs performed from it(A case of u, Avalanche,U're gonne C me) but still no album. The songs offered on the music club were decent but I felt for the most part bored with them. The 83 first avenue version of a Case of u was kick ass, but the one night alone version does not capture the intensity and heart break that was conveyed in the 83 version. Every one raved about that song in january ,but face it people were geeked about it because it was a great cover played at the legendary 83 first avenue. And then theres Xenophobia. That album i'm actually looking foward to. Why, because it sounds fresh. As for Last December and the "best" of symbol album? Who knows. Now theres a rumor One Night Alone Tour Live album. For them to post this is kinda like a slap in the face. What they should do is post how hard Prince has been at work trying to deliver one of the 4 albums that we have been promised for the club. Weve already have blown thru 4 and half months.I just don't want to get swarm of albums all at once. At least with the downloads you could look at the music as just stand alone songs(or songs from High.Despite what the one music club response was a couple months ago that there was no project called High, well thats bullshit.Morris Hayes told me the title of the album and a couple songs from it and also said there was artwork for it already in the can, but Prince was just shopping for a distributor. Why would you have to lie about an aborted album project.because it would make the music club songs look like throwaways.)Back in the day, you looked forward to one album for the year and you knew it was going to be cool( at least warner Bros. had quality control). With the new stuff i just don't know which projet to take seriously. Prince is my favorite, but i'm sorry ,i'm not going to take this fanboy music club attitude that this new music club post is exciting.

Well, I think it's exciting. biggrin

Not that my opinion or excitement means a whole lot in the big scheme of things, but thought I'd express it anyhow.

And that's a good thing? When the label says what's right and wrong? I don't think that's very good when it comes to the likes of Prince.

Nilla PLEEEEZE.

Look at the WB output, then look at the scatterings he's released since then! WB had people that listened to the 87 songs he WANTED to release, and they drove him to pick out the very best. And then, it was up to US to find all those unreleased gems (OR DUDS) that DIDN'T make the cut.

Nowadays, don't NUTHIN MISS the cut. It ALLLLL goes in there... so, here we are, hearing crap after crap after crap, and then occasionally, there's something good in the mix.

Course, that's just my opinion, but YOU KNOW I'M RIGHT!!

Let the chopping begin.

Well, I'm still waiting to hear if anyone has gotten their CDs before I renew. I'm not hating, but I'm not handing over $100 until I hear some discs are being shipped.
