The Concord Pavillion show was canceled, and in its place will be a show in Oakland NEXT Wednesday 4/24 at the Paramount Theater! I believe tix go on sale Monday 4/22 (which seems like a weird day...perhaps it's Sunday?).

Both venues are great for different reasons, but the Paramount is definitely more intimate...works for me!

I was really looking forward to my first Prince concert (ever) in Concord... (I am from Fremont but am at school in Santa Cruz) but since it was changed to Oakland, looks like I won't be going.

Oh well - please let me know how the concert goes.

That sucks that P cancelled the Concord show is was so looking 4ward 2 seeing him there, eye saw him there once b4 and eye loved it "had great seats" despite the fact that he only played 4 an hour. Hope he decides 2 do another show somewhere in the bay cause 1 nite only in the bay just isn't enough.

i totally agree with u Paisley, 1 night in the bay just isn't enough. i would love it if he scheduled another show in or around the bay area.

The Paramount is perfect and easier to get to than the Concord Pavillion and a third of the size. This is the venue we deserve, like every other city that was getting an intimate evening in a historic theatre. I am so happy he changed it, sorry for you folks on the Concord side but Oakland is the bay and perfectly situated so everyone can get here. And don't worry you'll be safe, its on a busy street and near BART.
