Busta Rhymes discusses collaborating with Prince This was sent 2 me via emale:
On Friday 9th of April Jo Whiley interviewed Busta Rhymes on BBC Radio 1. Amongst other things in a very amusing and interesting interview, they discussed the rumoured collaboration with The Artist and Busta. A listener asked what had happened to the rumoured get together and Busta replied that it had not happened as The Artist had had to get the song finished before an upcoming tour, and that they're busy schedules had not allowed them to get together in time. (One wonders what tour this was, could it be something forthcoming?) Busta said that he hoped that something could happen in the future. Jo said that she would love to see Busta and The Artist on stage together. Busta replied "Yeah, just imagine the costumes!". After Busta had left the studio, Jo commented that a meeting with Busta always leaves you tingling and feeling positive and alive. (True, his interviews always entertain and give you a buzz). Maybe a meeting with The Artist would inject some energy into his work as well as provide some serious exposure (see Busta's latest collaboration with Janet Jackson, respect flying in all directions!). It made me think about who The Artist should collaborate with, if getting back some wide spread success is the aim. Working with Busta or Puff Daddy could certainly work for the chart's and I think that something with Busta would prove interesting musically. Perhaps a Fat Boy Slim remix to gain U.K. club success? A duet on Michael Jackson's new CD ? What do you think?!!! On another point..... I happened to be in Camden, London last night and passed the old NPG Store. It is now a women's clothing store, but I was interested to see when I looked through the front window, that many of the old fixtures are still in place, in particular the 0+> carved stair case going down to the basement! Daniel, London. Hmm...interesting! | |
