Chuck D mentions Prince in Star Tribune piece

Not coincidentally, Chuck hooked up in the studio three weeks ago with Prince, another musician who has battled record companies and used the Internet to bypass the system.

"It was fantastic," he says. "Whatever happens with it, we're not even putting it under the traditional way we have to do a record. If we can use a bit of it or he can use a bit of it, it is up to us and that's the way it should be. Prince -- the Artist -- put the shovel in the dirt [on fighting record label control], and now Public Enemy is digging some more ditches to give artists more breathing room."
