Jim Walsh chooses Mill City appearance by Prince as a Best of September:



The Artist and the New Power Generation (Sept. 6, downtown Minneapolis) -- There were several memorable moments this night, including Sharon Sayles Belton's impassioned introduction of the former Prince, and Maceo Parker's cameos. But the one I'll remember most is the sight of that little ball of fire prancing around that outdoor stage -- the former Glam Slam in the foreground, First Avenue in the background, guitar set on ``deadly'' -- as he sang ``1999'' to thousands of beatific faces.
