Billy Idol gives props to Prince on DVD I was watching te VH1 Storytellers DVD for Billy Idol and Billy goes into a story about Prince before singing Flesh for Fantasy. He was talking about trying to make punk rock sexy and said he noticed what Prince was doing. He said that he thought Prince was the future and actually copied the leg warmers and bikini briefs look while appearing on the BBC. He said that they banned him! I thought it was coool to hear a 80s icon like Billy Idol salute Prince and his influence. | |

That is pretty cool!! I like Billy, but I saw him at Foxwoods Casino last year and he sucked. Most of it was acoustic and he tripped and fell on stage. Ah well. | |

Billy Idol has been around for almost 20 years and is one of the people that helped put punk on the map. Respect is due. He is better than the young post punk rip off rap/punk/metal bullshit that permeates the airwaves today.

Prince has tripped and fallen and no one is more nimble than him onstage. WHat is your point? Idol can still sing and he still commands an audience as the DVD release indicates. Maybe its you, fat chick | |
