{{{Today Hot 92.3 started to run an on air promo that featured Prince live songs and one unreleased studio song!

They changed their Kareoke Prince Song contest for a new one combining Alicia Keys who's tickets will go on sale on April 14th. The new or updated contest starts this weekend and runs all weekend long.

The contest combines a giveaway of Prince and Alicia Keys tickets. So the listeners just call in when told to then they get to choose which tickets they want when they are the winning callers. Both tickets were described as VIP so they might be the pricey ones which seat you closer!}}}

It's a long promo which features snippets of Prince singing Muse 2 The Pharoah LIVE, apparently from a recent show and also Prince speaking LIVE about "real music" and something else that is along those lines and then what sounded like a studio recording.

A studio song of Prince singing "NPG on the Radio!" Great stuff! Real short but enough to tease you. Then they mixed in Alicia Keys singing her stuff, but it was studio stuff from her album. Of course they mixed in her version of How Come U Don't Call Me Anymore and Prince hits like Diamonds & Pearls.

I wonder if this was also done for other cities he's played at on this tour, giving a live song or two and unreleased studio stuff...?

HOLY CRAP!!!! I just heard it!! After reading this post about it I turned on the radio and heard the promo within 20 seconds!! Too cool!!!!

Theres a part where he says (taken from a live show): "Sit down right there... I'm gonna play guitar for you."

It was DOPE!!! ONE MORE WEEK!! I can't wait!!!

How COOL! The perks of being one of the later cities on the tour! (The only promotion for his Columbus, OH appearance was an ad in the paper.) Have a blast at the show...

You can listen online if you want. Also, note that this is a Clear Channel station. Guess Prince has to get in bed with his nemesis to promote shows!

sounded like it might have been something he sang during strange realtionship live,didn`t sound studio to me.one thing is for sure,there is some soundboard "one nite alone"stuff out there somewhere.very cool commercial though.

Nope... I didn't get to record it. But I heard it a second time and the part about NPG on the radio is DEFINATELY LIVE. You can tell because his voice sounds the same as the other live parts. I can't wait!! lol

I've heard it a couple of times, also....it's ok, didn't get me excited or anything, besides just hearing Prince advertised prominently....too bad they chose to promote it with mainly slow jams by the man, tho...and with no songs from TRC...and they called Prince the "King of Old School"...lol...
