In a recent article in the Minneapolis Star Tribune Jon Bream praised Prince for his appearance on the MTV Video Music Awards.



"Bravo: For probably the first time on an awards show, Prince seemed human Sept. 9 on the MTV Music Video Awards. Eschewing his usual affected presence and cryptic comments, he explained that he'd been asked to sing but preferred to introduce his favorite group, TLC."
