Someone from npny called Lincoln Center and the said the tickets are 150, Not 125. Prince is nuts! How do you charge that much in this day and age? Especially after New York has been hit hard like it has.

I wouldn't be surprised if there are a ton of empty seats on Tuesday...

NPG members should get a discount! U2 charged $140 on their last tour, but the stage setup was very expensive. This is stripped down, so I guess we're paying to be so close, which I hope the show is worth it.

Did he do an afterhsow in NY last time?

According to the NPGMC, the performer chooses the cost of the ticket. So, if you're upset ticket prices are so high, ask Prince himself. In NYC, I've paid $80 and have been two rows away from Sting (not to mention sitting next to Brad Pitt & Jennifer Aniston). As a matter of fact, he played a 45 minute show last falll for FREE to thousands of people, not to mention a full length free show in Central Park. I've paid a lot less than $150 to be a lot closer to other artists as established or "happening" as Prince ever was...heck, even Sir Paul McCartney, a former Beatle, doesn't cost that much.

There will be a ton of empty seats, not just because of the ticket prices, but the ridiculously short notice. I would have loved to have gazed on the dynamic, intelligent beauty that is Carrie Cee (in a completely non-stalker fashion of course), now none of us will get the chance!

$150 is a lot but when you think that he isnt backed by a major label and must pay union due, rental fees and what not, (At Avery Fisher Hall no less!) then you understand why
the reason for the high price. Being a New Yorker I would have been upset if it were 150 for Irving Plaza, a smaller standing room only joint. On another note, for the person who mention sting playing for free...Prince also played for free for an hour and a half years ago when he appeared on the Today show please stop your whining.

I was online trying 2 refresh & retry for over 2 hours! I got online at 10:45am, and did not get a CONfirmation # until after 2:00pm. Very stressful and annoying. Does any1 know if a CONfirmation # means a damn thing? I don't want 2 get all excited and find out that there r 50 orders before mine and there r only 50 pairs of seats b-ing sold.

Candy,
They did say that were a limited number of tickets available for NPGMusicClub members. I would assume that they’ll stop taking orders when, & if, they exhaust their supply. At least that is what I’d like to believe.

The Village Voice on page 85 has a quarter(?) page advertisement 4 One Night Alone.

Tickets go on sale 2 the public on April 5th at 10am at the Avery Fisher Hall box office. [they are NOT affiliated with ticketmaster, as far as I know]. Call 212-875-5030 4 more in4mation. Tickets can also b purchased by calling CenterCharge 212-721-6500

It also states that there will b special guests, and there is no mention of how much the tickets r.

How many music club members are there going to the Lakeland show? Write a reply if you plan to go, perhaps we can all
hook up.

Who cares what Prince did years ago? This is NOW. & no one is whining. By the way, Prince also blew off his last scheduled Today Show performance. Prince & Prince alone is to blame for the ridiculously high ticket prices for his shows. Even NPGMC admits that. Ani DiFranco, playing this Saturday at Carnegie Hall, isn't backed by a major label, pays union dues, rental fees & "what not," is charging less than $50 a ticket & I'm in the front row.
