Or better yet, Let's have a MADHOUSE reunion, record the gig live, and release it via NPGMC, and call it 32 (a night just me and U) [subtitle]. Xperience the Peach & Black Podcast: http://peachandblack.podbean.com/

Strange....all people here suggested Prince´s disciples...
the topic says ´Jazz-infused´, not ´Prince - approved´...

BTW, I would love to see Prince jamming with George Benson. Prince on piano, Benson on guitar, Maceo on the sax, Rhonda and Blackwell. It would be heaven on earth...

How bout Eric Leeds? It would be great to see him, since I've never been to a concert that he has been to.

Jazz - infused? Give up the funk, dude? I just learnt that Prince will play NY on April 9, that's cool. But also learnt that George Clinton will play NY on THE SAME DAY! Life is too cruel; maybe George can teach the Kid a lesson with this jazz direction he is heading, and play with him a little, because I personally do not like it.

Prince should have of course Maceo's band (2% jazz 98% funky stuff) only at a decent hour this year...

David Sancious & Chris Botti.

Marcus Miller. More thanb excellent bass player and I think he is a Prince fan.

hmmm... since when is prince into labeling music? but if he wants it he shall get it: I would love to hear an all star band directed by multi-intstrumentalist wycliffe gordon of the lincoln center jazz orchestra featuring branford (not wynton!) marsalis, elvin jones on drums, herbie hancock on keys, ron carter on bass. but I guess that would be a dream come true... - Lenny already performed with him on Rave 2000, and it sucked. Lenny is nice, but adds nothing to Prince´s music. Me shell would be great. Marcus Miller would be great too.

peace - Very true. I am sorry if I sounded mean, but IMO the Celebration is an opportunity to see new guests, new possibilities. Dangelo, Sananda and Lenny are nice, but they add nothing to Prince´s music, and IMO it would be much more interesting if people from other fields joined him.

the topic says ´Jazz-infused´, not ´Prince - approved´... I suggested Cassandra Wilson...she's my current obsession. LANCE DIAMOND from buffalo, an absolutely wonderful performer who once did an AWESOME rendition of I COULD NEVER TAKE THE PLACE OF YOUR MAN, with none other than BUFFALO'S more well known acts, the GOO GOO DOLLS. this falls more under disciple, but ANI DIFRANCO would b another gr8 act(can u tell i'm from buffalo?) ok, someone mentioned brandon marsalis(not wynton)((who will b in buffalo this month)) i agree with whoever that was. by the way, MORRIS DAY will b here in some comedy musical, has anyone seen it? i want 2 see it so i can say i've seen p and morris within weeks of one another, and shiela e some time b4 that. what a trifecta!
