The Time, Gap Band, & Isley Brothers tear up Memphis!!



The Show started on time, about 8:05. When we arrived, about 7:30, we saw the stage setup, and saw Monte, & Jerome near the stage. Since the Time was opening, I knew it was going to be a short set, but it was cool. The house lights dimmed, and a local radio DJ asked "What Time Is It?" A clock was ticking very loudly over the speaker system, and the Time hit the stage! Morris had on his silver & black tux jacket with matching tie, black pants & black & white two-tone Stacy Adams just like mine! Jerome was in a gold double-breasted suit sweating the women, as usual. They did the tease the girls with the comb & handkerchief routine, & Morris was his usual cool self pimpin' & primpin'. The band was tight last night, The new guitarist played his ass off, & Jellybean was in the pocket on the drums. the set lasted about 45 minutes, unfortunately. I would have liked to hear "Girl," or "Gigolos Get Lonely, Too", but it was nice to see them again after 15 years. Here is the songlist..
