Man Oh Man, this is NOT good. Im sitting here at work early myself just for the chance to get in on the good seats, and this happens. For the mental cruelty and hardships I have now suffered, I better be able to see up his nose when I do get tickets. LOL
Better yet, on the tour bus.

Ticketmaster is now showing that the general public sale starts at 12n Monday, 3/25. I hope that this means 2morrow (2 days before the public) we can buy our freakin tickets. Oh man that means I've gotta get up early on SATURDAY MORNING! Damn!

yes, isn't it just plain lovely... i am angry beyond complaining... of course, by saying that i am complaining, but... whatever... depending on when the sale is postponed for, this could turn out to suck quite a lot...

(Posted elesewhere, but bears repeating)

Here we go again. Honestly, I'm sure my friends are already making plans to come to Atlanta based on what I told them were "Confirmed" dates. Already, the local weekly lists the dates as April 2nd and 3rd, so y'all tell me what f**k. I swear Prince does this shit on purpose. Think it's frustrating 4 us? Imagine working at the NPGMC and dealing not only with their boss' eccentricity, but our incessant questions and complaints. God forbid Prince might allow anyone to PLAN attending his shows. Some of us do have jobs and other commitments and are not as "Free" as others.

Indeed, what if I'd requested time off from work or planned a trip and the show is moved or postponed? The jury is still out on bang 4 the buck with NPGMC, and the handling (or lack of it) of this tour will go a long way in determining my future renewal. Thusfar, the downloads have more than satisfied me, but we know they're gone. Hopefully, everything will b cool, but my tolerance for the "priveledge" of spending my hard-earned cash is being seriously tested. Fams, please don't jump on me 4 bitching or whatever. If you've been die hard for 19 years like me, u know what I'm talking about.

I know it wasn't confirmed yet when npgmusicclub had Atlanta listed April 12th, but I changed my vacation from the second week in April to the first week! Now I can't change my vacation, and will miss both shows.
I am just thankful, however, that he is touring. He doesn't have to do this.

i emailed the club and they said the concert and the presale were not cancelled. i wonder if they are going to sell presale tickets on a different sites perhaps since no one is happy with "The Master". i think it would be cool if they sold it right out of the member retail section. might as well, only members can get to it.

Hello,
I'm frustrated myself, but I'm pretty sure thier's a good reason for the presale being postponed. We just have to wait like everyone else! The other hard decision is which show to go to. I really wish I can do both shows!

ya know, i can't believe that i'm going to say this but, i agree... that's the best idea i've heard in a long time...

since they are going through so much trouble to check 2 sets of records (ticketmaster & npgmc) and make sure that everything matches up, it would make a lot more sense just to sell them straight from the npgmc... then they would be certain that nonmembers weren't getting in there, and everything would just make so much more sense... and we could also avoid the ticketmaster handling fee (which i completely and totally dispise)...

The idea of selling Prem members only tix via the retail or website members only area, would work if PP bought block of seats from TM inadvance. We would still pay the service charge as they would charge PP same.
I don't think the retail area would work as it is a separate fullfillment house..again I am not 100% sure...but I believe it is Gage Merch. Eden Prarie.MN.
The fun part is noone would know their seat until they picked up their tix from willcall!Works for me...I like surprises.

ticketmaster is not going to be thrilled with this and will depending on how many seats in the venue, they will want the lions share.
It's been done by other bands, notably the Dead. Mail order ticketing. They had the clout to stand up to TM.Does Paisley Park..I would look forward to that happening!

Sorry but i have to disagree. i know ticketmaster aren't perfect (Not by a long way!) but they have been in the business of selling tickets a long time and do have the infrastructure in place.

I'm just not too sure NPGMC could handle the job. After all they only have a very small number of staff.

Sorry to rain on your parade, sad in a perfect world it would be a great idea smile

okay, maybe they couldn't do exactly what TM does, but they could essentially:
1. get a hold of 400 or whatever tickets
2. sit on them until the show, meanwhile members buy a ticket like they would buy anything else through the site but don't get a seat number
3. they put tickets with names the night of the show.
4. you go to the show, get your tickets, boom - you are in.
seems easy enough

::sigh:::

As a result of the Chicago scalping and subsequent club member complaints the system has now been changed. And there are still some fans that aren't happy.

Lot of tour dates canceled or changed.

I see a bunch of ideas being thrown around, none of which are fool proof.

What do you want to bet the Will Call ticket pick-up is going to be a mess too.

I hate to say I told you so but...

In the past Will-Call worked out fine for me. I picked up my tickets with no problem. I live in Atlanta, and I proably will get thier early to avoid traffic. Maybe you should do the same thing, If it's possible for you.

General Admission??? YUCK! YUCK! OH NO! Eye No this isn't true, this has 2 b a bad dream...Last thing Eye wanna do, is battle a group of fans over the best seats...This can't possibly work...we have 2 FLOOD NPGMC WITH EMAIL SAYING NO NO NO NO NO NO NONONO ! Since Eye am going alone(ONE NITE ALONE 4 ME), it means from soundcheck(5:30 PM) 2 end of show (11:00PM???) Eye will b stuck in the same spot...Any going 2 the bathroom or anything could result in arguments/etc...which could get ugly...The previous idea about them printing up tickets with R names on them makes SENSE...GA seating Absolutely DOES NOT!
