Article on Prince Parties in Bay Area Magazine

On p.59 of the current issue of "The Wave" is an article on Bay Area Prince parties. They talk about the infamous Dream Factory parties as well as the smaller gatherings that regularly happen. Check it out!

[Chaz, was hoping someone would send in the article typed up. I talked to one of the DF guys last night and he says he hears he's wildly misquoted in the article, but neither of us have seen it yet! I'll trek up to the city tonight maybe to find a copy. -Ben]

Confirmation ~~~ I have spoken with Bobby of The Dream Factory and he regrets the misinformation in the article regarding a DF party in April,
NO DATES HAVE BEEN CONFIRMED AT THIS TIME.
Bobby was however pleased with the article otherwise and says "The Dream Factory isn't going anywhere, we will keep you posted"

The website posted in the article is in no way or shape affiliated with the Dream Factory.

I talked to someone at the Wave today who is supposed to send me a copy of the paper. Otherwise I'll have to get my dad to go pick one up at the 7-11 near his house in Sunnyvale, since I'm not going to Amoeba Records anytime soon.

It's not on their website, either, I checked.

please be advised! As a DJ/promoter of Extra Classic, I have never claimed to play entirely Prince music at our parties. Even though I am a HUGE Prince fan, my musical tastes are far more varied than to limit myself to one artist, let alone one genre of music.

Also, there was no mention in this article of our affiliation with the Dream Factory, other than attending their parties and offering praise. I appolgize for any misunderstanding, and hope that this clear up any confusion.

One of the Dream Factory guys was wildly misquoted? How can that be when Bobby or anyone else from the Dream Factory was not quoted in the article at all?

There was no misinformation in the article regarding a dream factory party in April. I have it right in front of me. It says, "The next schedule Prince party is in April," then it gives an email address for Extra Classic. What's wrong with you people? You've got the reading level of a Texas oilman who stole the presidency.
