Mill City report #1 Just got back from Mill City. Another fine show! I'm too tired to give a full review but he played lots of guitar (nothing else really, no bass or keyboards tonight) danced a lot of course. Someone else can maybe give a long detailed review but wanted to get something in quick. This may not be 100% complete or in perfect order but the set was something like this:
Sign O' The Times I Could Never Take The Place of Your Man The Cross Let's Go Crazy She's Always in My Hair U got the Look Kiss I Like Funky Music Motherless Child (it was about this point he said "gonna go back to 1982, I feel like Prince tonight!") Let's Work Delirious lets see.... Everyday is a Winding Road (Sheryl Crow cover) Pretty Man (new song gonna be on Rave, written for Morris Day but "I kept it cause it was so funky" Funny lyrics like Morris would sing!) Purple Rain Encores: Come On Baby I'm a Star 1999 Mayte was there dancing, Maceo Parker (ex James Brown) was playing sax. Many other horns. Minneapolis Mayor Sharon Sayles Belton gave him a key to the city at the end. Too tired to write more now. Rave un2 the Joy Fantastic!!!!! | |
