Candy joins Prince for USA tour (March 8th 2002)

Candy will be joining Prince for his USA Tour in April and May 2002. 'One Nite Alone with Prince; A Man and His Music', with performances in opera houses and jazz halls, promises audiences a show like they've never seen before, a stripped-down performance that allows the music to speak for itself. For more details go to the tourdates section of this website or visit the NPG Music Club website for all official and up-to-date information regarding this very special tour. And don't forget to turn up your speakers when you enter this site, because then you will hear a small snippet of one of Candy's recent recordings with Prince!

Why wouldn't the tour still be on? Where did you even get the information that it would be off? Rumors here on the Org? Please!

Prince only plays piano, guitar, bass, drums, various percussion inst., theramin, and supposedly a little bit of harp. Hardly a million, but still an impressive display of versatility and talent. What makes him truly extraordinary is the fact that he plays them all so well and with such a unique voice all his own on each instrument. Not to mention his production skills and his unmatched vocal ability. There are many "multi-instrumentalists" out there but only a few can keep up with Prince.

I don't think he plays any woodwinds at all. He can sure arrange those though. I liked when he tried the harmonica on the "Rasberrry Beret" 12". What happened to all those finger cymbals that were all over his records for a while. Is that one of his 27 instruments?

Let's have a little bit of common sense handy, people. Prince's main instrument is his voice. Don't you think it would be kind of hard for him to sing and play the sax at the same time?
