Sympathy for John Blackwell To John Blackwell and family:
Whereas I cannot begin to know the pain in losing a child, my heart-felt sympathies go out to you. Although she is gone and a void has been created in your life, fear not. God will help you through the rough. He is with you now and will be even if you don't feel you need Him. Have faith that you daughter is with Him, for God loves all children. Your musical talent has brought so many of us joy. Know that we are with you in symapthy and spirit during this tragic time. Sincerely, George | |

Truly heartbreaking news. I remember seeing him in Champaign after the concert and he was giving a cymbal to a kid and talking about making music - you could tell the man really and sincerely loves children. I'm sure all the warm thoughts and prayer in the world isn't enough right now, but certainly it helps.
On another note, I have to say that I'm really impressed with folks' maturity and understanding with regards to this news and the postponed shows. This is one of those times when you see the meaning behind the term "fan community". | |

That is so sad. I'm sure he and Prince may become even closer now seeing as they both have to deal with the tragedies of loosing a child. I'll keep him in my prayers.  | |
