Chicago Sun Times critic disses Candy!

June 27, 2004

BY JIM DEROGATIS Pop Music Critic

"The set could have done with a lot more Maceo and a lot less Candy Dulfer, whose sax playing was superfluous. (She seemed to be around mainly to serve as eye candy.) But we've come to expect one useless woodwind player on each Prince tour, and at least she wasn't Najee"

how dare he say that! Candy is awesome
Check it out ...Shiny Toy Guns R gonna blowup VERY soon and bring melody back to music..you heard it here 1st! http://www.myspacecomment...theone.mp3

Prodigal, I laughed at that Najee crack. One could make an argument that Najee is the "black Kenny G."

FYI, Najee was a member of the NPG on the Hit-n-Run Tours of 2000 and 2001 and appeared in place of Maceo on a few One Nite Alone shows.

But, for all the flack Najee receives, we must not forget that Najee provided all the horn parts on the musically phenomenal The Rainbow Children.

Something tells me that Mr. Derogatis cannot play an instrument.

Maybe Donatella should join the NPG. She could stand next to Prince, smoking cigarettes and looking good.
