Did anyone see the episode of Oprah with Lionel and his daughter Nicole Richie?Lionel met Nicole when she was just 2 years old backstage in L.A. during Prince's Purple Rain tour.Lionel told Oprah Nicole was "being passed around but no one was really taking care of her".After talking to Nicole's birth parents,Lionel and his wife Brenda felt they could take better care of her,so they adopted her!

So my questions are who are Nicole's Richies' biological parents,and how did she wind up on tour with Prince and The Revolution?

She is Sheila E's brother's child. She is biologically Sheila E's niece.

Right.. but Nicole was still brought around the tour around the time in which Lionel met her backstage at the show.

wow i remember that baby! Peto was in Lionel's band after Sheila left. I remember that baby being spoken about by Zina, but she always referred to her as Lionel and Brenda's baby. I also rememeber her mom. she was very very young.

What kind of parents would just give their child to someone?? who/where are her biological parents? sheila e's brother and who?? and were they a part of her life?

The last I saw or heard of Peto was as the musical director for someones show. He is also pictured in that ad the features the whole Escovedo musical clan. As for giving up the baby, I know it is no excuse really but they were young and money was tight so when Brneda and Lionel expressed an interest I am sure they jumped at the chance of a better life for the baby. I mean look at the timeframe, Lionel was HUGE at the time, and the escovedo family was close to the richies. I mean look at her upbringing as far as the priviledge, she went to school with the Hilton's. I am sure she knows who her biological family is, but does it matter,probably not, she was happy with her Richie family.
